International Feature: POLAND

Hiphop duo Luksus + eNBe, hailing from Poland, have recently released their album “Spokojnie To Tylko Awaria” (2008). Markit is the only featured artist on the album, making an appearance on the third track: Chill. This appearance is a milestone for Markit’s musical experimentation, as he starts his verse rapping a few bars in Polish, before making the transition back to English. For a full tracklist + review of their album, check their album hosted on www.hiphop.pl

In the meantime, feel free to listen to Chill, and see how Markit gets down in two languages!

Something Good

Something Good is a Halifax-based hiphop supergroup comprised of fellow Fax 4 MCs Markit & Boy-ill. DJ Y Rush constantly mixes and cuts with his wizard-like hands, all over top of intricate beats provided by experienced producer Focus Aside.

After compiling impressive credentials as individual artists, these four long-time friends began a collaborative project. The focus was on delivering the dynamic qualities of their live performance into a high quality studio album. Now in the stages of engineering, the album “Just Add Water” has achieved this desired quality. The lyrics and beats move both mind and body as Something Good successfully strikes a balance between being progressive and producing a sound that harkens back to the glorious era of 90’s hiphop.
