CBC Radio-1 Debut

Some of Markit’s tracks have previously been aired on CBC Radio-3, along with an interview, however, Saturday December 5, 2008 marked the first time his material reached the Canadian masses on CBC Radio-1. The program Definitely Not The Opera (DNTO), which was hosted by guest Jonathan Torrens, aired at 1:00pm-3:00pm. During the second hour, In Between Time, from the Legato Block album All A Lounge Town, was introduced and sent across the airwaves. More exposure to come in December, so stay tuned!

International Feature: POLAND
Hiphop duo Luksus + eNBe, hailing from Poland, have recently released their album “Spokojnie To Tylko Awaria” (2008). Markit is the only featured artist on the album, making an appearance on the third track: Chill. This appearance is a milestone for Markit’s musical experimentation, as he starts his verse rapping a few bars in Polish, before making the transition back to English. For a full tracklist + review of their album, check their album hosted on www.hiphop.pl
In the meantime, feel free to listen to Chill, and see how Markit gets down in two languages!
